Darim Kim Joins DHI’S Creative Team

July 14, 2006 — DHI Advertising and Design announces the addition of Darim Kim as Senior Designer. The award-winning graphic and Web designer brings over seven years of industry experience, including stints at the Visiting Nurse Association in Vero Beach and with the Texas General Land Office in Austin.

Kim is a 2002-2003 Golden Web Award winner and the 2001 Award of Excellence recipient for Creative Summit XVI in the categories of brochure and package design. Earlier awards include Best TV/Radio Script honors from the CATV Association Institute for the documentary “Corporate Identity,” and a Grand Prize for a solar energy house design competition sponsored by the Korean Ministry of Energy and Resources.

A native of South Korea, Kim is a graduate of Chung-Ang University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering. While in Seoul, Kim worked in the architectural field before shifting her focus to broadcast, appearing on-camera as a freelance television reporter. Upon relocating to the United States in 1998, she completed visual communication design courses at Austin Community College.
