DHI Client Receives Awards For Tourism Marketing
September 5, 2006 —DHI is pleased to announce that one of their clients, the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce, was recently recognized with two state awards for its tourism marketing. The Florida Association of Chamber Professionals awarded the Chamber’s Tourism Division with the Outstanding Communications Award for their newly designed visitor materials last month. In addition, they recently received a Finalist Award in the Outstanding Magazine Campaign category at the 39th Annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism.
The award-winning materials were designed and developed by DHI Advertising and Design. Housed in a matching sleeve for ease of portability, the series of four-color brochures feature Indian River County dining, shopping, lodging and attractions’ amenities.
“DHI has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with the Indian River County Chamber and is extremely honored to be recognized for its creative efforts,” said Carl Miller, President.
Named for Florida tourism legend Henry Flagler, The Flagler Awards are presented annually by Visit Florida, the state’s official source for travel planning. The visitor materials are distributed internationally and to targeted audiences in North America by Visit Florida. They are also distributed to all of the area’s destination publication writers, including publications such as Audubon, Travel America, and National Geographic Traveler. In Europe, the materials are translated into German for travel shows in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
DHI was founded in 1983 in Chicago as collaboration between Jorie Butler Kent and Carl Miller. Twenty-three years later, DHI continues to create advertising and design for high-end products and services. To learn how DHI can help you, please visit www.DHI.com or call 800.234.8001.
