DHI Honored with American Graphic Design Awards
October 19, 2007 — The creative team at DHI, the
Vero Beach-based advertising
and design firm, picked up seven awards in
a recent national competition. The
2007 American Graphic Design Awards
honor outstanding new work across the graphic design spectrum – from
print ads and corporate identity to broadcast
and interactive design.
DHI won awards for brochure design for Surgical Outcome Support,
Laughing Dog Gallery and New Piper’s PiperJet. In the interactive
category, DHI won an award for Laughing Dog Gallery’s website. The
agency’s logo designs for Vero Beach Hotel & Club, Senior Resource
Association and Environmental Learning Center’s Black Thai event
also won American Graphic Design awards.
“It’s always nice to be honored for excellent work, but for
our creative to win when judged alongside work from some of the nation’s
largest advertising agencies, publishing houses and in-house design departments
is really special,” said Carl Miller, president of DHI. “I
think it illustrates the degree to which smaller agencies
are increasingly
able to compete with larger firms. I’m very proud of our team.”
The three-decade-old American Graphic Design Awards competition
is
presented annually by Graphic Design USA and sponsored exclusively
by
Adobe Systems Incorporated.
DHI was founded in 1983 in Chicago as collaboration between Jorie
Butler Kent
and Carl Miller. A quarter-century later, DHI continues
to create advertising
and design for high-end products and services.
