Carl Miller Joins Environmental Learning Center
Board of Trustees

February 4, 2008 —The Environmental Learning Center (ELC), located in Vero Beach, Florida, recently appointed Carl Miller, President of DHI Advertising and Design, to their 21-member Board of Trustees.

The selection of board members is based on a process that balances talents and industries to ensure stable leadership. In addition to their role as advocates and ambassadors for the ELC, board members lend their time and talent to provide leadership regarding strategic planning, major events and fund development. The ELC is a private, not-for-profit organization with 80 percent of its expenses funded through private donations such as contributions, memberships and fund-raising events.

According to Holly Dill, Executive Director, “The long-standing relationship between Mr. Miller and the ELC is one in which we are very proud and brings great credibility to our mission and work.”

Under Miller’s direction DHI has created a broad scope of materials for the ELC
since it was established in 1989 including the organization’s logo, Treks and Tracks field guide, print advertisements for fund-raising events, annual gala packages including invitations and save-the-date cards, brochures, newsletters, website, tee-shirts and outdoor billboards.

DHI was founded by Jorie Butler Kent and Carl Miller in 1983. The firm's 13 full-time employees provide advertising and design services to clients in the aerospace, aviation, economic development, financial services, hospitality, luxury travel, marine and tourism industries and non-profit sector.
